anti-racist action for 9/14

one anti-racist action a day

Last year we asked One Anti-Racist Action A Day subscribers to write a letter to Oklahoma’s Pardon and Parole Board advocating for Julius Jones. Jones has spent 19 years on death row for a murder that compelling evidence suggests he didn’t commit. We are happy to report via the Innocence Project that yesterday, Oklahoma’s Pardon and Parole Board voted 3-1 to commute Julius Jones’ death sentence to life in prison with the possibility of parole. This is just the first step to the ultimate goal of full exoneration. Today's action is to read the Innocence Project's breakdown of Julius Jones' case and complete one of the 4 actions listed at the end of the article.
